Amy Smith

I am a handweaver living in Maine.  I learned how to weave in order to make tallitot.  I’ve been weaving them for over a decade for people all around the world.  I love the process of weaving; I love engaging with people as they go through the process of selecting the text for the atara, choosing colors for stripes, tying their own tzitzit.  My studio door is open.  Come visit. www.bluefeetstudio.com  (And Blue Feet?  I’m walking in the footsteps of the people who used to dye tzitzit tekhelet blue.)

Handwoven Tallit by Amy Smith
Tallit handwoven in tencel (an eco-kosher fiber, low environmental impact, with a soft hand and lovely drape). Measures 18x82.  The body is off-white, the stripes and atara are a wing motif  alternating indigo and silver.  The tallit comes with a handwoven bag in thick blue chenille.  Available for immediate purchase.  Generally, I weave on commission (with a one-month lead time).  You select the text for the atara and colors for stripes.  Come visit my website for more information: www.bluefeetstudio.com
