Cantor Deborah Katchko-Gray

A fourth generation cantor, and second woman to serve a conservative congregation, Deborah is a pioneer cantor whose archives areincluded in the National Museum of American History.  She founded the Women Cantors' Network and published this Jewish Huck Embroidery book as well as the first cantorial songbook with guitar chords and female friendly keys to honor her grandfather, Cantor Adolph Katchko. Her recordings includeKindersongs, Jewish Soul, Katchko 3 Generations of Cantorial Art, Sacred Spirit and several selections on the Spirit Series of the Cantors Assembly. As a member of the Pomegranate Guild of Judaic Needlework, Deborah is proud to share her love of hucking and tallit making. www.cantordebbie.com
