Rabbis <3 Cheshvan T-shirt by Avi Killip, Rachel Silverman, and Jane Kanarek
After the success of the "real men marry rabbis" shirts, lots of other shirts were suggested. While many were made (such as, "real men marry cantors"), the next big idea came by way of a Hebrew College rabbinical student named Avi Killip. Noticing how hard rabbis work during the month of Tishrei (and frankly, the month of Elul, preparing for Tishrei), she wanted a shirt created that acknowledged the relief of the month of Cheshvan. Hence, Rabbis <3 Cheshvan was born.

Rosh Hashanah Akeidah by Marlene Burns
The Akedah, the binding of Isaac, is used as the expression for the Rosh HaShanah image. The left side of the painting shows Abraham’s ten trials and the right side shows the realm of perfect faith attained with the  whole circle and the image of a shofar, the horn of the ram which was sacrificed instead of Isaac.

This image has been beautifully reproduced on archival-quality, acid-free somerset velvet paper with a 1" border for framing.  It is hand signed and titled by the artist and is numbered (limited edition.) Giclees on gloss canvas, stretched (1.5" depth with gallery wrap and mirrored image) and unstretched (with a 2.5" border) are available and are hand signed and enhanced with paint by the artist. All reproductions come in a variety of sizes not listed here. This design is also available as a card on this site. Please contact www.kavanahpress.com for price lists and special orders.
