What started on a whim while walking down Broadway was solidified around a Shabbat lunch table, and has now turned into the production of 250+ t-shirts - all proudly proclaiming "real men marry rabbis". The shirts have been featured at countless weddings, in Lilith as well as JWI's magazine, in a marriage proposal on top of Masada, and can be found in many newspaper articles and blog posts. There is even a "real men marry rabbis" t-shirt at the National Museum of American Jewish History.

The initial excitement generated by the creation of the t-shirts was overwhelming. People were hungry for affirmation that their career choices were not only socially acceptable but worthy of celebration. And so the shirts were bought in droves.
