“V’Ahavtah”  is the first word following the Sh’ma, meaning “And you shall love…”
The cantilliation marks for chanting this word are boldly expressed in black.  The pattern for binding tefillin, as commanded in this first paragraph, runs along the bottom.  The allusion to tzitzit flows through the painting.

This image has been beautifully reproduced on archival-quality, acid-free somerset velvet paper with a 1" border for framing.  It is hand signed and titled by the artist and is numbered (limited edition.) Giclees on gloss canvas, stretched (1.5" depth with gallery wrap and mirrored image) and unstretched (with a 2.5" border) are available and are hand signed and enhanced with paint by the artist. All reproductions come in a variety of sizes not listed here. This design is also available as a card on this site. Please contact www.kavanahpress.com for price lists and special orders.
